Help please - Eibach Coilovers with CC plates

Help please - Eibach Coilovers with CC plates
So I was flying through the install of the Eibach R1 coilovers and then a screeching halt. The top nut of the front coilovers won't come loose so I can apply the adapter plate for the MM caster camber plates I have. I'm pretty close to rounding off that top strut piece that you anchor to to turn the large nut... WTF am I doing wrong and how to I get it to come off? At a stand still at the moment.
