Default Springs and shocks or coilover set up?

Wanting to lower the car and do it right. Want it mostly for looks since it won't be used on the track but not saying it will never be there but mostly just for having fun and looks. I want the ride to not be harsh or bouncy just firmer with better handling. I will have about 1400 to spend maybe a little more. Would like your opinions on set ups and what else I would need for either set up. Thanks.

I've got the frpp-p springs. They are about a 1"-1.25" drop ride is still pretty good, and it doesn't look slammed.

Check out the handling section. There are handling gods in there!

For what you want, coilovers might be overkill (their adjustability wouldn't be much use as you'd be cranked to the softest settings). Probably non adjustable Koni shocks/struts (the handling gods say they re the equivalent to Koni yellows' softest setting) and lowering springs and an adjustable panhard bar (to get the rear axle back to center) would be all you need.

BMR makes some great springs, for shocks and struts lots of folks go with d specs. I went with Strange since I race my car all the time.

This setup can be done in that price range without the k-member:

It works really well! (I have to do ridiculous things to lose grip on the street)
