Annoying external chirping/beeping sound
Recently my 2005 GT has been making an incredibly annoying chirping/beeping sound whenever I open the door or turn the engine off and will last for 10+ minutes. It's not terribly loud but it is extremely annoying.
Not sure if related but it started after my key started to not respond with my car as it should. Wouldn't lock/unlock doors reliably, wouldn't disable/enable my alarm. After a while the key just stopped working. I changed the batteries in both keys, but still no dice.
I've tried reprogramming both keys but they still do not want to work. The car is un-modded and nothing has happened to the car up til this point, that I know of.
Any idea what's going on?
Thanks in advance.

First do you mean your key fob or actual key ? Next open your passenger door remove the kick panel and check for water damage to your smart box(sjb) if dry or good hiw many beeps / chirps? Or is it a constant? Have you tried to locate the source if the beep? Does your security light blink with the beeps?
Sorry about the questions just trying to pin down the problem

+1 on needing more info.
The '05's are known for having the chronic water leak which will cause electrical gremlins but without more info from you it's difficult to figure out what's happening here. Are you having any other electrical issues? Is your battery charging well and holding a charge? The OE alternator and battery are also known for being marginal and low voltage will wreak havoc on our electrical systems.

I mean the key FOB. It started dying, or at least I thought it was, over the span of a month or two. It's a constant chirp under the hood. No lights or indicators blink when it happens and it only happens when the engine is turned off and stops when running. It will beep faster when the door is closed and slower when open. It also chirps when anyone uses a key fob near by and will chirp for at least 10 minutes. Ive had problems with leaking a couple years back but it's never affected anything before. Other than the beep no other problems persist.

Not sure if it's after market or not to be completely honest, but a few of the guys I work with tracked it down to be the alarm it self. They jerry rigged a temp fix until I can get it removed or fixed properly. So the beeping is gone and I assume I'll just have to go to a dealership to get my key fobs reset.

Turn ignition from OFF to RUN 8 times within 10 seconds, with the 8th time ending in RUN. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming mode. (Off is the position where you can remove your key, RUN is the postion just shy of starting your car.)
Within 20 seconds press any button on the first keyless remote to be programmed. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming. If you only have one remote then skip to step 4.
Within 20 seconds, press any button on the second keyless remote. Door locks will cycle again to confirm programming. Repeat step 3. for all other remotes.
Turn ignition to OFF. Locks will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode.
