Inspection hole on bell-housing

Inspection hole on bell-housing
2008 GT 4.6 Vert manual
When I was under the car a few weeks ago installing the MGW shifter I noticed there was an inspection hole to view inside the clutch area. Anyway it didn't have a rubber grommet or anything covering that inspection hole.
Should that be covered?
I know an automatic would have a grommet, but is a manual susposed to have it covered as well? Or is it left open on a manual for clutch dust to escape or something?
If it should have a grommet or something could someone give me a part# I can order as a replacement?
Not sure if this is the right trans pic or not, but You can see the small square hole in the bottom of the second image and mine looks just like that hole.

Can someone with 04-08 manual tr-3650 look at theirs and see if it is open or covered?
