Default Wider stance options 14 GT

I purchased the track pack wheels so they are a 9" wide wheel. I am about 1/2 inch from making the tire flush with the fender. Should I look into 1/2" spacers (heard good and bad) wider tires 275/35/19 or any other options, cannot afford wheels. This would be for all 4 wheels.

Would the 275 tires add 10mm to the inside and outside of the tire since that would be a total of 20mm wider tire? NOOB still learning and researching.

I could either get hubcentric spacers or get longer stud bolts, thoughts?

To me 275 40 was too much sidewall.

Well, keep in mind the first number there is approximate width, in MM. For example, a 315 40 17 will have 315-ish mm width (widest point), and I think the sidewall hight is the second number, so I think the sidewall is 40% of the 315.

So a 275 vs a 255 will be 20mm wider on each side, (or 40mm overall).

Edit: seems you already knew that. I think that would work.

Yeah I think if I get tires, I will go with 275 / 35 /19 because the pics I have seen, 40 is too tall for my liking. I think I will go with a wider tire for my next set. I wonder if the wider tires would cause the tire to be flush with the fender?

2000AZ5.0GT are you still in AZ and do you belong to a car club? I found this one in Phoenix: http://www.copperstatemustangclub.com/ and there is another in Scottsdale.

Anyone else have thoughts on my thinking or had this type of question and how did you get answers?

Indeed I am, however not a member of any right now. I used to be a member of SAMC (Southern Arizona Mustang Club), which was like the oldest mustang club in the US (formed in 1964 or 65), and that was always a lot fun. I'll have to look into that Copper State one, looks interesting.

From that picture, they'd already be what I consider flush. I suppose you could order some cheapo tires to test it out?

This site seems to suggest the width will actually be like .75", so IDK
