An X-pipe is going to give you the higher trap, but with a straight thru muffler, you'll see a noticeable loss in low end torque. Chambered mufflers will give some of it back. If I were you and could do it all over again, I would get some 4.10s, some DRs, a tune, and run some 12.6s. Thats no shat either. I'm running low 13s with a best of 12.9 due to limited traction. A fella next to me this weekend had a Mach exactly like mine, DSG, Manual, 4.10s..... only difference was he had a stock mid pipe and MT ET streets. He had NO tune, nothing, just a set of 4.10s, MTs, and a cat-back. He was pulling 1.7 60's and running 12.7 at 107. I had what's in my sig and was running low 13s with one pass being a 12.9 on a 1.92 60'. I should run a 12.5-12.6 on MTs with all my mods on DRs and/or Mt streets.
I got a question for ya lol, even though last time I didn't listen to you (headers)haha, I really want the Borla catback, but I have LT's and catted x so what would I be able to feel this difference in torque? Also, I want to lower my car and If I do, I will need an offroad pipe, so should I do an H or? In the end I want a lowered car with the Borla catback and in order to lower my car I need an offroad pipe lol. Do you think I could get a shop to add cats somewhere else in the tubing so that they will not scrape, Im worried about the back pressure issue? Thanks if you can make any sense out of what I just said lol.

Do the borlas curve through the muffler (offset inlet and outlet), or is literally straight through (center inlet, center outlet? If they are offset, that might provide enough back pressure. If not, you may want to look into a different style cat, like the magnaflow cats since they are flatter, OR.... do some 4.10s to make up for the low end. You can run the same cats you have, but they will definitely scrap. Before you worry about it too much, make damn sure you like the way a completely straight thru exhaust sounds. It'll be one loud ****, lol.

Check out the magnaflow catted X-pipe. AM has it. Their cat looks like a flat cat, but I wonder of they are too restrictive?

Might as well stay with the 3.55s if he's going to do 3.73s.

+1 on that chin spoiler!

i expected this thing to be a dog below 4000 rpms the way everyone talks about no low end but it pulls pretty good to me.

wow that quick as hell lol i will prob go ahead and get the 4.10's tune and intake, and wait on my tires to wear out lol. Im deff gonna deff drag radialscause this thing spins through 2nd no problem, but then again i was doing it on purpose lol

4.10s on these cars are very drivable......and a lot of people will agree with me when I say that they are more drivable than the 3.55s even for someone who drives on the highway a lot like me. I hate it when there was slow traffic with the 3.55s , at around 40-45mph, and I was to low for 5th and to high for 4th, with 4.10s its perfect, at 40-45 Im in 5th and it doesn't fall flat on its face if I give it a little gas.

You know I agree with you, but I've been told otherwise, and always gone by that statement. I've actually been told by AmericanMuscle people that only JLT RAI keeps it functional. I said how if they hook up the same? They had no answer. So what's the truth?

About 135 mph. 5th pulls damn good with 4.10s though, so don't let that stop you. You can still bury the needle with ease. In fact, the 3.55s will pull strong up to 145 mph, but when you go to 5th it'll almost completely stop gaining speed. This doesn't happen with the 4.10s as they make 5th an actual pulling gear instead of a mere overdrive gear. (Not that you should race past 130-140 mph anyway)
