Have it looked at by a body shop. (1) just so you have an idea of repair costs and (2) to verify that the damage isn't worse than it appears.

After you are aware of the full extent of damage and repair cost, negotiate from there if you want the car.

Looks to me like it had a blower and was removed when traded in, or the coolant crossover failed and they went to the an setup but i doubt that, probably blower especially given the aftermarket MAF as well.
