My best was a 14.01, with the cold I couldn't maintain bottle pressure. Mike helped out and we put it on his heater for awhile and got it up to 750 lbs, and then I jerry rigged my heater using the jump starter/light/tire inflator I have - just put some wires together and clipped the jumper cables on it. That moved me up to 850 lbs and I could then get 14.0's. Car felt like it was bogging at launch until the nitrous hit so my 60' was bad all day.

It was still a good time and great to hit the track anyway.

There were 3 new personal bests none of which are me. Tried to do that stupid dial in and that didn't work. Caught a car from falling off a jack, got beat by dave, and offered everybody at the track to drive my car. There was a guy in a aveo I raced giving that 1.6 liter inline 4 he!! all day, think he even got into the 17s with that beast.

I ran a best of 13.514 @ 103.5, with a crummy 2.013 sixty foot....and got notified after two passes that my car was too fast w/o a roll bar.

First pass, I ran a new G8 GT and it was neck and neck. He fouled out, but got the win by .055 of a second.

Second pass, I called out a guy with an LS1 Camaro (he was in a group with a few people that I knew, so it was considered a friendly call-out). Ran neck and neck (again), but he missed third gear and dropped back and finished with a 14.39 @ 88 mph.

Third and final pass was when the track guy told me to let off at the big end because 'verts below 13.9s need a roll bar...regardless, I smoked an F series diesel truck by 2.4 seconds at the eighth and just let off the gas and slowed down. The problem was that my slip showed the best numbers of the night up to where I let off, so if I kept in it I think I could have eeked out a 13.4x pass......****

I want to go back to Milan and try my luck with hooking up and running a sub 13.5, even if it gets me kicked off the track for the day...although I think they are only open for a few more weeks.

new personal best......13.504 @ 105.

I'm not too sure about the 105, seeing as my previous was about 102

I think the timers are off badly at that track seeing as I was sideways in 2nd gear half the time

Hey Buster, thanks for the invite but it is too far for me... over 130 miles one way. It was good meeting you and talking at Lapeer. Maybe we'll meet up there again some day. But when I think of how the track was, I don't know if I ever want to go back there again. I have other car's rubber all over my car. That has never happened before in two years of racing there. No wonder we fishtailed all over the place that day.

I gotta get in on some of these next year! I have been so busy with work i have not had a chance to do anything. Plus the Whipple is going on this winter! So I will have to let DownRiverT drive her the first time on the track for me. being a Cherry and all for the track thing!

Man I missed so much this year!
