Arrow Changing the firing order

I want to change the firing order in my 302, my dad said that at some year they changed the order to make the engine "breathe" better.

Does anybody know anything about this?

Yeah the firing order is set to the cam so you gotta change the cam and lifters to do this.A lot of aftermarket cams have a 4 and 7 swap in the firing order makes them run smoother.
