Smile Mustang 09 V6 Performance

Okay so everyone is telling me that I cant make my car much faster than the stock version without getting a completely different engine or making a huge upgrade. So I was wondering if it is possible to make at least a noticable change in speed with certain mods or parts for under $1000-$2000 and what mods would I need to get for that??

I would try posting this in the s197 V6 section of the forum you will get a lot more responses. And don't listen to who ever you are listening to, they don't know what they are talking about.

+1 for posting this in the 2005-2011 section

But that's not true. Add a CAI, good custom tune and 8.8 rear with 3.73s or 4.10s and the car will drive completely different, and that's gonna run about $1500. The aftermarket for these cars is pretty large

Yeah who ever told you that is clearly mis-informed. Start with what Alec said, and then if that's not enough then you could always go FI. Although that may break your budget...

Anyway, some nice tires will also help with the steering feel/quality which to me is pretty important, I mean, during a normal drive how often will you be racing it? Compared to how often you will be cornering during a drive its a nice upgrade.

Good luck!

i agree with the above^, add some 4.10s and you'll feel the difference.
