RE: can i make any mustang look like a 1967 shelby gt mustang
taylorsmith32,
I'll start by asking if you currently own a 2005 Mustang GT?
The ultimate answer is "yes", you can. If you have the time and money to invest into your Mustang. I snapped a picture of one guys interpretation of Eleanor from "Gone in 60 seconds". While impressive, there were some things I did not care for.
So when I ordered mine, my goal was to make it look like a 1967 Shelby GT 500. My first step will be to center the fog lights in the grille, a la 1967 Shelby. Street Scene is just about to release the part needed, instead of making one from scratch, as the guy did in the picture in the above link. Next will be a ducktail spoiler from CDC, and a chin spoiler from them as well. I don't think I will do stripes, but I could do white Shelby stripes. Wheels are my only issue so far. I like the one on Cervinis site, but they are some $3500!
I think once lowered, with all cosmetics applied, it will very closely resemble a 1967 Shelby GT 500. The goal is to look like one, and also be able to pull close to 1g on the skidpad and run 12's in the quarter mile. I do not think it is too unachievable.
Anyway, if I can help you out in any way, please don't hesitate to ask.
