America May Be Getting The Four-Cylinder Turbo 2015 Ford Mustang After All
#12
My first car was a 85 I4 with88HP and not much TQ but it was a good little car. Nothing wrong with it. My dad still drives it with 175k on it and it gets 25MPG. Nothing wrong with a 4 as long as its getting 35+ MPG. The problem will be people buying them and "upgrading" the exhaust with a huge fart can....make all Mustangs look bad.

The current Taurus has a 3.5L turbo V6 available. 365 horsepower, 350 torque. How about that as an intermediate choice? I don't want a turbo 4 (too high-sprung for an American muscle car?) to replace the 6, but a turbo 6? Heck, maybe that'll replace the 8 in the new, lighter mustang, though I'm sure that'd make some of you unhappy.

Everybody complaining about a 4 cyl needs to put the tissue box away and stop crying because it's eventually gonna happen. If not sooner then later. Fuel prices combined with restrictions and mandates from our beloved government who think they know what's better for the people than the people will see to that. I think there will always be a V8 option but also think eventually there will come a time (hopefully not during my life) when buying any new car with 8 cylinders will be only for the very wealth.
