New Member with old 1968 Mustang
Greetings. New member here. I have hovered around here, but never joined until now. Today is a great day. I finally start what I have wanted to do for 15+ years.
I am restoring my grandmothers 1968 Mustang that she purchased new in Pensacola Florida. It was hers, then when she moved up here for us to take care of her, she gave it to my dad. Unfortunately, he gave it to me to drive in highschool and I ended up in a small fender bender that caused the engine to die and he told me I was SOL. It has not run since that day, my 18th birthday.
It has all the papers, 104k on the odometer, 289 2b, etc. I finally got a good look at her tonight and she is in much better shape than I expected. Now time for the elbow grease and time. Not sure if I am going to stay stock motor or not, but I don't ever plan on selling it so original is not really in my objective. Honestly, it handled like a tank back in the day, so I plan on working on all of that (wife willing!).
So, here is a link to the pictures I took tonight. Please tell me what you think, and feel free to give suggestions.
