New Ohio Member here- Black GT
Hello everyone. Glad to be a member at this site, it seems very well structured and similar to club3g.com(i used to have an eclipse). I just picked up a 2000 Black mustang GT convertible with black leather and a 5 speed with 65k miles on it. Also has a cold air intake and some 18inch cobra replica wheels.
Along with this, i happen to have a couple of questions, even though i understand that tech questions are supposed to go to the approriate forums. But i feel that along with being new, hopefully i'll get a little bit of slack and if anyone happens to have any input that'd be great.
First, the convertible top has a pinched hydraulic line. Can someone help me find a thread on how to go about replacing this, or does anyone know or estimate how much this will cost to fix at a dealership or private garage?
Second, can anyone tell me about the JET racing chips? The seller told me it has one of those installed, but i haven't heard very good things in terms of added performance. I'm not sure of the exact model, i can check if needed.
Third, where can i find a side insert for one the fake vents on the passenger door? It seemed to have fallen out, and I checked ebay and they only have the billet style.
Fourth, is there a difference between the 00 and 01-04 hoods? For some reason i notice slight changes in some pictures, but i can't really tell.

Welcome to the forums. I will tell you the truth about our technical areas. You will get much better answers there than here. People like me that say welcome may not have the information you need. After all I don't have a vert. There are some very nice helpful people in the tech areas and they have helped me a lot. Hope you get the help you need. If you need site information I might be able to help you there I am finally learning my way around.
