Default Can I get something that is in a 2010 Mustang GT in my 1999 Mustang Convertible?

My mom drives a 2010 Mustang GT and she has the feature where the windows roll down slightly when you open the door and roll up when you shut it. I drive a 99 Mustang Convertible and was wondering if it was possible for me to get that feature for my car.

I would imagine that retrofitting a feature like that on your car would cost $500 - $1,000 depending on labor.

Is there a reason why you want your car to do that?

I bought the car used back in August and for some reason the door shuts but there is a gap between the window and car body when I close it, so when I close my door from the inside I have to roll down the window, then close the door, then roll the window back up; from the outside I actually have to close the door by pushing the window and I'm scared I'm going to break the window. I assume it has to do with the fact it's a convertible.

Sounds to me like the door hinges might be worn out and in need of replacement. That or the car was in an accident and the body isn't quite straight.

welcome

I'm not sure why there would be a gap, unless something is off...window or top.

Even if your hinges were wore out (you can check this by trying to pick up on the door when it's open), the door would realign itself when it closes....unless the bracket that the door attaches too when it's closed needs to be readjusted up??

My 99 is similar on the passenger side. The glass will hit the convertible top and leave the gap. I can roll it down then back up and it's fine or I can pull up on the edge of the top when shutting and it will close fine.
