Radiator Fan always running
Hello everyone! I'm new to the site and had a few questions. First of all I have two mustangs. The first is a 99 v6, nothing special, but my first car growing up. My second mustang is an 01 GT with a P-1sc procharger. MY question is for my 01 GT. I was just working on it the other day to change my belt because it was making some noise. In order to get the belt off, I had to take off the procharger. While the procharger was off, I took off the tensioner as well and replaced it. When I got everything back together, the belt was nice and quiet, but my radiator fan was running as soon as I turned the car on and never shut off. I ran the car for 20 minutes or so. The temperature gauge never got over mid way, but the fan was always running. I didn't have the ac or defrost on or anything. I did some research and found that it could be my coolant temperature sensor or my constant control module relay. The sensor is an easy fix and pretty cheap, but the module is a bit more complicated and could run me $180! Has anyone ever had this problem or know of a solution? It seems weird that it would happen right after I took the procharger out and replaced the belt. It is already a tight fit without the procharger so I'm wondering if I bumped anything. I went through and tried all of the connections that I could see. My next guess is the sensor or module. Any thoughts????

pretty sure that there is nothing that you could bump that would cause the fan to run all the time, and the sensor is most likely not the issue because the gauge uses the same sensor and is reading correctly.

Welcome to the forum, nice looking GT.
I'm leaning towards the possibility if a sensor or wire taking a hit or yank when you were under the hood. Possibly putting said switch/sensor into default or safe mode and keeping the fan on at all times.
Good luck
