New Member!.......Maybe
Hey everyone!
I need advice from all you knowledgeable mustang fans.
I've been toying with the idea of getting a new used mustang as a summer car and I may have found one worth while.
The specs are:
2005 GT - Red
4.6L 3V V8
5 - speed manual
Black leather
174,000 km
The car is all stock aside from some after market mufflers.
It needs new tires to pass safety according to the owner.
Asking price is 9 grand (Canadian blackbook values the car at 12 grand)
From the pictures the car looks mint, the owner is a gear head who has owned the car since 2008. He is only getting rid of it because he is getting a classic camaro, I believe he said it was a 71.
What shoud I be looking for with the 2005?
How is the reliability and longevity of the 3V motor / transmission?
Any known problems that I should keep an eye out for?
I know it was the first model year for the body style and motor which makes me a little weary. Although my impression is the car has been well maintained I don't want to end up getting into a money pit.
Thanks in advance!
