Back after some time off...
Hey guys,
I used to be apart of this forum back when I had my mustangs back in college. I had a 93 GT Vert that was a mess. Sold it and got a perfect 88 4 banger that I had planned to convert. Saw how big of a headache that would be from this forum and discussions. So I sold it and then bought a 93 GT that I loved but sold it when I got married and started a family.
The great news is I am in the market for a new fox. I was hoping that I could get some input on what exactly to look for when shopping. I heard that the tower struts were a big deal with these cars. I want another GT since I seemed to love that one the most. I hope that the 4th time is the charm and I actually do plan to keep this one as long as possible. Glad to be back guys.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome back to the forum.
I'd just keep your eyes open for a clean Foxbody, with all the mods done already. Best bang for the buck and usually all the little issues have been worked out......... hopefully lol.
And yes, strut towers rust out rather quickly, but that's easy to see.
Do a search on this forum for buying tips on Foxbody's and you find tons of threads covering all areas. Good luck in the search.

I appreciate it. I was looking into getting one at a lower price but now see why spending a bit more may help out with making sure the car stays running.
I have found a few diamonds on Craigslist but they go quick. The rust buckets are usually there a while and the price is way too high.
I see a ton of people with rollers that are asking like 2K-2500? I think thats crazy! Maybe times have changed though.

Yep, that's about the asking price up here for a clean, solid roller.
My 88 is a rust bucket. Floors, strut towers, rockers, ......all rusted through. It would cost me a small fortune to fix it all. If I decide to stay in this hobby, I just might have to bite the bullet on one of those overpriced rollers lol.
