So yesterday I got an o/r x installed on my 2005 GT to go along with the Pypes muffler delete kit. Simply put it was LOUD! I am def worried about getting tickets. So today I figured I would swap out the Pypes for my American Thunders....... Don't do that. It sounds like garbage, it's just a raspy mess. Maybe some people like the sound but I don't see how, as soon as theexhaust cools down I'm putting the Pypes back on. Just my 2 cents and a little heads up for those who might be interested.

how did you get around your check engine light coming on because of the cell.Do you just let it stay on or how did you fix it to stay off.

I have an SCT tuner and that will make the light go away.

I did the same thing...i ran an off road x pipe with 40 series flowmasters. It was way too loud for the street. So I ran a couple of Pypes Hi-flow cats and its streetable now. I didnt notice any performance gain or loss running the cats.

I also installed an O/R x pipe this weekend. I still have the stock catback and let me tell you, it sounds like sh*t. Way too loud. I guess i need an aftermarket catback!!

I just put a upr o/r x pipe on my 99 gt with weld in 40 series flomasters this morning. So far im happy with the sound but its raining pretty hard so I havent really got on it yet.
