Talking ProCharger P1-SC-1 install done!

Hey all, I wanted to take a moment to bask in my blood, sweat, and tears. I ordered a ProCharger P1-SC-1 Stage II system from Exotic Performance around Thanksgiving. It ended up taking about two months of an hour here and an hour there but she's finally done!!!

Need to note - I am NOT a mechanic. I couldn't tell you if 10.0 was a lean or rich A/F ratio. But, taking my time and following directions, I am certain that this install was done correctly. I got quotes from local shops anywhere from $1,000 up to $1,500 for the install. Well, you know what, #%&$ that! This was all me! (self patronizing over now).

Anyway, she's at 8-9 lbs boost for now until she's gets forged internals (by someone other than me).

Initially dyno'd at 433 rwhp but that was on a "strap-on" fuel pump that wasn't flowing enough gas to keep her from going lean during the tuning. Now that she's got the GT500 dual pumps - she's going back for a nice round 450 rwhp benchmark - then a conservative tune until she's forged.

One note, I get asked a lot about the red crack-through on the plenum cover. That was a total accident. I had painted it torch red with spray paint - then quickly decided it was lame - then immediately primered over it and laid it in the sun to dry. 5 minutes later... I came back to torch red "busting" through the primer. It suits me, so it stays.

Oh, and yes, that's the wife's SRT8 Charger in the background. I think that's funny... the wife's Charger. LOL.

very nice work and engine looks great I wish my blower was polished. Aren't you pushing limit on your motor at 450 rwhp?

Affirmative. That's why I am looking to quickly make a move on one of these:

Checking out builders here in NC and SC near Charlotte... Won't be racing it until I get this built and get some LCAs and a UCA and brackets for traction.

She ran pretty well at the tuner this week. I am really pleased. Now in the process or contacting BBR about their forged short block (which is out of stock) and looking for a local builder.

I do have one issue to be addressed (I explained to my tuner that I am cursed and there will always be something). Last time it was upping the fuel with the GT500 pump setup. This time it's a COP that might be going bad. One run would come in at 430 rwhp. The next at 450 rwhp with nothing relevant changed. I ordered two stock COPs from RockAuto and will diagnose it myself through the process of elimination. I can hear it when it does it. It's like a heart mumur and I think it's on the passenger side bank b/c that short term fuel trim in bank 1 seemed to indicate that.

Surprisingly no. No codes. But it sounds like a little miss. It's consistent.

These are new Brisk plugs too - soooo maybe one of those is bad. I have two new COPs on the way so I will shuffle those around first to see if that fixes it. I imagine it will. With all my plug changes over the years - they've been off and on more than a dozen times.
