Default Pype Pype bomb leak

Anyone else have really crappy fittment issues with the Pypes Pype bomb axle backs. Both of mine are leaking where the axle back connects to the over axle pipe. No matter how much I tighten, adjust, move it wont close up. its frickin annoying! Any ideas? I love the look of them just hate that they leak and it sounds like crap because they leak.

Pypes is cheap for a reason. Most people (including myself) who have tried pypes systems complain about fitment.

For the most part they are semi-custom meaning they will require some fab work or cutting and some physical muscle to get them to fit/seal right.

You get what you pay for.

I would recommend getting them welded on or go with Borla/FRPP stingers. They cost a bit more but fit like OEM.

agreed ! I 've been fighting with sales rep for a week now . I took pics of the pypes mid pipe and the stock mid pipe side by side (about a 5 inch height difference ) all he could come up with is " what tools did you use to tighten the clamps , Why did it take so long for you to report this " . . . . Hello !!! I broke the bolts you sent and had to use the ford bolts , and it took so long because I was trying to get your crappy pipes adjusted so the axle wouldn't hit , then I asked Mike if he looked at the obvious pipe differences , and despite sending several more messages , I haven't heard a thing from him . so I promised Mike in sales I would do everything I could to turn people away from the junk they produce

Just had mine installed today on my '07 GT. Fitment wasn't quite right. My muffler guy and I had to heat up and bend the hangers a bit to get everything to line up just right. Took a little extra effort, but in the end it came together ok. No leaks and the sound is amazing.
