Yes, and it'd better provide enough technical advantage to offset the loss of utility for carrying cargo or the occasional rear seat passenger. Wheels, tires, and other stuff for a track day will end up taking up a lot of volume (and most of it won't "soft-pack").

Too true. It's the main reason why I never got one...well truth be told, the main reason why I never got one was the $1200 price tag...perhaps the most overpriced and least bang-for-the-buck mustang part ever.

I've actually considered making up something like that for my track days, as I'm commonly cornering above 1.2g. But it would need to be easily removable (preferably without requiring any tools or use bolts or nuts that would eventually find their own hiding places) and not be a huge source of rattles and clunks.

Now that would be a cool racing part for a daily driver that sees a lot of track time.
