Question For those of you that upgraded from a GT...

How comfortable and cushiony are the seats? I like my GT, but the seats are flat and unsupportive. Are the seats better in the Shelby?

I had leather in both my 06gt and the 09gt500 and they are basically identical... the recaro options on the newer styles are supposed to be really comfortable, but they are going to cost you a pretty penny.

Yeah the seats are pretty identical in comfort.
It seems the Shelby's are more reliable as far as wear with time for some reason.
At least compared to my 06 GT.
Plus you get those nice snake embroidery on your Shelby seats

I had a 2006 GT with cloth seats that were ok. I just purchased a 2007 GT500 with the leather. They feel better. You can always have a trim shop repad the seat to your taste.

I have an 08 GT 500 and a 2011 GT.
The seats in the GT are FLAT and offer no lateral support when cornering hard.
The GT 500 seats keep you right in place with their bolsters for your legs and torso.

I had a 2011 GT with the leather seats and now I have a 2013 GT500 with the recaros.
The GT seats were decent for an average car but as stated earlier, no lateral support. The recaros are incredibly comfortable and great lateral support -- definitely worth the pretty penny.
