Saleens stripped
I just got back from my Ford dealer and last time I was there they had 3 Saleens on the lot. This time they were gone, but I figured they sold them. Come to find out, some "vandals" cut through the fence, jacked up the cars, put cinder blocks under the front and back of the cars (in the middle) and teeter tottered the cars side to side to remove the wheels on all 3 cars (I think Nascar could lear from this!), and they broke into the interior and stole specific items. Cut the convertible tops, etc. They had such a mother load, they took out the seats of their minivan and left them behind!!! talk about some brass ones!

RE: Saleens stripped
Thats why Saleen dealers should only stock the number of Saleens that will fit INSIDE the showroom [8D] No way I would buy one that has sat outside, been peered through with the old hand touching the car routine, been covered with rain & dust and carelessly washed by a part-time employee, etc......

^ Yeah, same here. You would think that they would take more care of such a collectible car. I remember a member posting a picture of a Ford GT that was FILTHY because it was sitting outside-- it was roped off and had a sign to not touch it.

RE: Saleens stripped
Crazy topic on how the dealers treat the cars. I bought mine in Florida while on vaca and Saleens were like a fire ants, all over! they had a convertible in every color you can think of (except black, my first choice). I ended up with the redfire convertible, but it was up under the canopy and salemen were leaning on it, and who was smoking a cigarette next to it... I had them move the car to the back as soon as I did the deal.. $1500 for enclosed transport from Saleen for it to get treated like crap at the dealer... To boot I had to have the car shipped to NJ, and they damaged the bumper in the process. Oh well.... Sh@t happens.
