I have an 05 genuine Roush and I don't believe my vin says its anything but a Mustang GT vert cuz thats all I wrote on my application for title/licsense. Which is good or else my insurance would be even worse [8D]. I don't know of any way to tell except I do have a sticker on my passenger doorsill that has its production number and place of production. Im not sure if thats an '05/'06 only thing though. Good luck with your new (to you) car purchase and no matter what kinda Mustang it is, if it has Roush mods it probably rocks! [sm=icon_rock.gif]

I have a Stage 3 Roush and it is considered a GT on insurance. But I actually took it to them to see what they were dealing with. They said they would cover car and all the Roush parts.

That depends on what insurance you have. I have AAA and they had 2 options for me when i bought my new roush, either classify it as a GT like the other ones, or you can get collector insurance. On the collectors they change it to a Stage... instead of GT.

I have an '04 Roush GT Shaker and my vin has an "X" in it. When my insurance lady ran the VIN, it wouldn't pull up as a GT. The "X" tipped the insurance co off that it was a Roush. Had to beg to get them to write the policy. (Am 30 and have a new baby, so they think I drive like an old lady or something ). Other years may be different, I just know how mine was.

In Kansas it doesn't matter. There are only 2 options, V6 or GT. Property taxes are the same whether it is a Roush or not.
