has anybody used one of these hoods? does it really help with engine compartment heat?
i have 03 saleen s/c w/regular mustang hood. the car was not s/c from saleen that's why the regular mustang hood i think. with all of my mods and how hot my motor bay gets i wonder if this hood will really help. also is any one thinking of selling there extreme hood in the future?

I've heard of a bunch of people that want the E hood.

It's pretty expensive if you go out and buy one new. Consider the S/C hood as well. It's pretty similar but with less vents. Then again...it's half the price.

Either hood would probably help some. You may want to try some cooling mods too so you can hold on to power.

i have done everything cooling possible i think. chicane intercooler, lfp heat exchanger, lfp expansion tank, fliudine double pass radiator and meziere water pump. is there something else i can do besides hood? i was also going to try a grill delete kit for more air into the radiator.

The hood will help a bit but it is expensive. You need to update that blower with a Kenne Bell.

i want to stay with as much saleen parts as possible. i would upgrade to a series V if i could find one

You can always change it back to the saleen stuff when you want to. Trust me, the KB is the *****!

It's funny that I see you sold your 1997 cobra and now have a black Saleen. I did the same exact thing. I do regret however selling my cobra. It was paid for and had 600 rwhp! Now I'm making payments on my saleen with 600 RWHP. OH well..
