Default 4.10 Gear questions.

I am looking to add 4.10 gears and a short throw shifter in my 05 Roush. Any suggestions on which manufacturer to use and why?

I added a Roush CAI last summer, how much would I benefit from a dyno tune?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

I've heard the best gears are the ffrp because they have had the least problem with them "whining". Also, on the short throw i heard MGW makes the best, thats the one i plan on buying.

frpp makes two types of gears, one if made by motive, and the other is actually made by frpp...the ones you want to get are the ones that have the "a" after the frpp.

Dont buy the mgw!!!! I have had the mgw in several of my cars and it has been a great shifter. Allthough when i put it in my 05 saleen s/c the torque bind (you know, you cant power shift at high rpms in 2nd and 3rd) get worse allot worse. I sold my mgw on ebay and bought a pro 5.0 which i havent been a fan of on past cars. The difference is night and day. The pro 5.0 is the shifter to go with. I can power shift my car in all gears now.
I just had 410 ford motorsport gears installed the A code ones in my 05 saleen s/c. I have absolutely no gear noise. In my opinion they are quieter than my stock 355's. Im running 275/35/20 tires that are 27.6 tall and @80mph im @ 2650rpm.The car finally feels alive and not undergeared do to the tall tires the put on these cars.

yes but there is still no shifter replacement for our t56 out there unless we know of someone who has experimented with some of the gto aftermarket shifters out there.
