Roush Stage 3 Daily Driver?
My old man and I are thinking of picking up one of the Roush Stage 3's. Its gonna be a daily Driver for us. Or is this to much car and to much abuse for this ride. Is it more a weekend deal? Any info from you guys is much appreciated thank you.
Oh and its gonna be used for some longer trips like 1k miles every other month or so. And what kinda mpg's you guys getting?

I couldn't think of a more fun ride for a DD than a hopped up performance 'Stang I wish I had the type of job and lived in a climate where I could do it. Gas mileage won't be great, but it should be better than most SUV's out there.
As long as you and your father aren't expecting it to ride like a luxury sedan then you should enjoy it. Remember its a sports car that is meant for for handling....so expect to feel the road! I think these new gen mustangs are quite comfy, and they have plenty of leg-room if you are over 6' tall.

Drive it like you stole it and enjoy it. I'm trying to get a nice dd performsance car as well. This weekend toys are great, but nothing is better waking up to a manual supercharged beast every morning before going to work.

ya, my E is my daily driver. I used to think it would be be a no-no. but it is too much fun to not drive all the time.
My E has become a road warrior. several long trips from phx to LA and more then a dozen highway runs from PHX to Vegas. I get **** poor milage as Im always doing 90-110mph in the middle of the desert and passing people. this sounds odd but I dont use the AC in my E here in the desert. jus the vent with the windows down.
(and with out shirt on ----------partly kidding. well if I lost my shirt off my back in vegas etc)
drive it often. Enjoy it now, worry about miles or resale value down the road. you bought the car to drive it.

They are fine for daily use. They're made to drive as much as you would any car. Long trips, short runs around town, weekend track flogging..... it wall works for them. MPG has been in the mid 20s if you are easy on them.
