Default Roush insurance?

Ive heard mixed ideas about insurance on roush/saleen mustangs that its either the same insurance as a GT or same as a v6 depending on which base model the car is. But Ive also heard its more insurance wise to own a roush/saleen.
Sorry for the poor thread made it in a rush.

Regular insureance will cover what the VIN says. Roush doesn't have a specific VIN. However, I highly suggest getting 'stated value' insurance or similar... so if something happens all the extras are covered.

Yes, and if it's hit or anything, they'll rebuild to stock GT..... you need to have coverage to fill the gap and explain it's not a stock GT. Most good insurance companies will understand the Roush aspect and be able to set you up.

Depending on what you want or how you plan on driving your Roush specialty insurance is also an option. I have 'Agreed Value' Coverage thru Hagerty. This coverage of coarse has limits(garage kept, mileage limits, secondary vehicle etc) but it works for me and I have the car insured well above GT 'values'.

I also went with Hagerty on my 07 Blackjack. Very reasonable on their price.

Thats Not true. My brother has a 428R Roush as was blind sided. It was insured as a GT because insurance companys veiw it as a moddified GT. It was fixed with OEM Roush parts not GT parts

In the two times I've delt with insurance from someone else, they didn't want to fix it with other than stock parts matching the VIN. It took my insurance company and my lawyer getting involved both times to get it done right.
Several stories floating around FNSweet where owners ran into the same thing before getting it fixed correctly.
