Suspension is always a place the aftermarket can improve over stock ... the trade off however, will be driving characteristics in all phases.
As daily driver (DD) a stiff suspension will be a liablility.
A soft ride for a weekend tracker will be a liability.

So there's always room to improve but it depends on what the vehicle's primary duty will be. Based on your comments the Performance package (PP) should serve you well.

Although, reading through your mod list sounds like MPGs are more afterthought than requirement.
Congrats on the purchase!! Great ride!!!

Congrats on purchase.. These cars are FUN! With a $3500 vmp tvs blower swap and you are over 625 rwhp... That's incredible... My 08 gt500 with stock throttle body, high flow catted x pipe and vmp TVS upgrade is over 675 rwhp and 667 torque..good luck and keep us posted

Suspension is like any mod, done correctly you will not suffer drivability issues. In fact, suspension is the one biggest place you can actually improve all around more than anything. If you add more power without upgrading suspension you will find issues with wheel hop and power transfer overall. I would highly recommend this as a starting point over a driveshaft, which will honestly do you little good and is pretty low on the list of beneficial upgrades for most Mustangs.

I would tend to disagree. The best open track suspension is going to greatly suffer on the street. Same with a drag oriented set up. That being said, one is able to find a well rounded set up to suit both worlds... but there will be sacrifices made on both ends of the spectrum.

I suggested the drive shaft upgrade because I've been heard a lot of complaints about failure and vibration once the vehicles performance level is increased over stock.

If I had a new Shelby, my first two mods would be:

Torque Arm

Pulley & Tune

Third and fourth mods would be weight related; Corbeau seats and Odyssey battery.
