yeah i haven't ran acroos that on a ford yet but on sbc's big time , we picked up an s-10 with a mild 355 , got it cheap cause the guy said he couldn,t get it to run right ,(would choke out and die at stop signs and lights)we poped the hood and found an 850cfm bg on the truck , wonder why it would want to die aat stop signs? because it would over load the engine .hopefully we can help people understand that bigger isn't always better when it comes to a carb.(by the way , we put a 650 elder on it down jetted just a bit now it runs great . the guy we sold it to is makeing high 12 passes with it .)

I've got a 600 Edelbrock on my pretty much stock 302 that I have jetted down to make it run better. Now it doesn't smell like a lawn mower from running soo rich and my plugs are only a light black (but still not brown).I do have one that was starting to foul but hey oo well.
I am still in the process of getting the timing down cause the vac advance is screwin up or something. Runs just fine until the vac line is put on the distributer and the it pops and surges on me. I am slowly working out the kinks but any opinions would help!!

The stupid mechanical advance in my dizzy is sticking, so sometimes it stays advanced.[:@] Time for a new Crane electronic timing dizzy. That tax stimulus that should come back this year on my taxes is definately going right back into the economy via Crane.

I'm gonna have some coming up. Wisdom teeth gotta come out and my old silver fillings need to be replaced, one of which has erroded enough that I may need a crown. Dentists are NOT cheap.

If you're in the military that means we're paying your dental bills. Tax dollars at work.
I'd much rather pay for the straight teeth of someone in the military, than give the money away to some liberal organization, or someone who wants a government handout.

On street combo that are mild you can use math to get close. But on wilder combos try different sizes if you can on the dyno my 306 started with 650 and I keep increasing size each carb size I picked up about 20rwhp. It ended up making about 420 RWHP 347 RWTQ with a 1050 dominator at 7200rpm I think peek tq was about 5000rpm. Also don't run vacuum sec. I have never had one make as much power as mech. sec. on a chassis dyno. One test vehicle had over 600 dyno pulls I wore it out testing. Vacuum sec. will show better power on engine dyno sometimes I believe due to control accel of most engine dynos and the fact they load the motor different.
