Default A dozen new Challengers getting salvaged

This may be a little off topic, but I'm posting it here in Street/Strip because the guys here seem to be interested in all cars, and not just Mustangs.

About a month ago, here in Omaha, we had a crazy storm with 90mph straight line winds and large hail. There was alot of damage around the city and of course, car damage.

Here's a link with pictures from a local car forum showing a dozen brand new Dodge Challengers that are going to be scrapped because of damage.

It almost seems like all the orange Challengers in that one picture were photoshopped in there...

damn.

i was the unfortunate one who did the delivery inspection when we got ours 3 weeks ago. found a door chip of almost a 1/8th of an inch and the front grille was stoved in. we got that fixed and on this past friday night we had a silent auction. i drove the car and honestly its nothing special, its got hte same motor/trans with the srt8 family (charger,300,cherokee, and magnum) the only real different thing is this car has NO upper bal joints but has 4 lower ball joints in the front.. different set up. oh well if you guys want a certain pic of it or anything or any brochures or info letm ek now ill see what i can do for you

no close up shots of the damage??? The first one makes you register a account before you can view it and i'm not doing that just to look at some pics of challengers.

Doesn't look like many people here are big fans of the car, I love it personally. Sucks that happened to em..

That's a shame. I'm guessing those were already sold.

I really like next year's Challenger (09) Finally a 6-speed and 3.92 gears, plus a full ESP off switch. That car will be something special anddifferent from the other SRT8 line up with those options.

I've pretty much decided to sell the GT despite having put a stroker engineand s/cin it, and someother nice mods, I think she'll findher way to ebay soon. I'll use that money to put down on a black 09 Challenger with a6-speed.

2-3 years is about as long as I ever hang onto a car.
