I have videos on youtube racing my friends Ion at the track. They are pretty quick cars, but with your mods you should have pulled a stage 2 ion as you did. So thats probably what he was. When i only had a CAI & tune i put about 2 or so cars on him from a roll when he was a "stage 2+". So stock, you would have ran away from him, even with your passengers.

Those things are very under rated. They actually dyno pretty much what they are rated at the crank bye the factory. Same with the Cobalt SS.
