Kerns vs Nisan GTR

or you can spend 80K and get a 911 carrera 4 and have your AWD... but only run 13's
the AWD accounts for a big gap in the market that other similarly priced RWD cars cannot hold a candle to when it comes to people living in states that get a lot of snow and rain... all depends on the buyer really, but it's a pretty decent dynamite fist bang for your buck IMO

after a tune = high 10's - low 11's with a 120+ trap + AWD @ 80K isn't a far stretch to say it's very competitively priced

The GT-R looks like a solid car, but at that price range, a lot of buyers are willing to pay for something just because it has the brand name attached to it. A Porsche & an Audi seem more 'prestigious' than a Nissan. I don't agree with that mentality (pay a ****load in thousands $$$ for something with less stuff than the other just to have the name), but it does exist.

I looked on cars.com....there are several on there for under 80k used. Some as low as in the 60k range.

Yeah.. I think if i wasn't paying much attention and drove by it i'd think its a 370z.. I can see why a lot of people would prefer a more exotic appearance in that price range. that's the reason they buy expensive cars, so people notice them.

even if you pay 100K for a GTR it's still an amazing deal for what you get considering everything else in the price range
look at mercedes as a comparison... for a 2+2 coupe with some power (CL63 AMG) you are looking @ a MSRP of around 80K... yet you will will only run mid 12's... with RWD to boot
for a brutally fast version of this car (CL65AMG) you are paying an MSRP of 200K+ so you can keep up with a chipped GTR... again, with a RWD drive train
as far as cars in it's class, the GTR is again... an amazing deal, IDC if you add a 50K markup, it's still a deal considering what it has to offer and taking all other cars in it's class under consideration

Yep.. what do you suppose the closest competition is? the corvette ZR1? maybe a Z06 considering a few mods makes it pretty darn fast.. but the GTR has the AWD in it.. so.. pretty cool. Seeing that people are selling them for under 80k, a lot of them are 70k with not too many miles has me thinking i need to sell my house and live in a GTR
