I raced a 4.6 Mustang with a 125 shot tonight. It was an automatic with a stall which didn't really help him because we went from a roll. He had a 125 shot with a tune and was on DRs, I was on street tires.
First race was a 45 roll, I started in 2nd and immediately started pulling hard. I hit 3rd gear and continued to put lengths on him. I don't remember if I hit fourth but sometime around now the camera car started to pass me on the left. I had a good amount of lengths on the GT so I let off. I don't know if the GT was spraying for this pass, he was quite a ways back. (Camera car was a supercharged 5.0 with nearly 700 rwhp)
Second race was from a 25 roll, I was talking with my passenger and not paying attention so by the time I heard the second honk I realized I was in 2nd and it was too late to get put it in 1st. Not that I would have hooked up anyway. I nailed it in 2nd and it was a little sluggish to start out. The Mustang got about a 1.5 length jump as a result. After a second or 2 the LS6 was in its power band and really started pulling. I was pulling up to the mustangs rear bumper and hit 3rd. Through 3rd gear I pulled passed the mustang and got in front. I only had to stay in 4th for a little because I started pulling out in front pretty quickly.
It was a fun race. My friend in the S/C'd 5.0 says he will get the video online sometime today, so I will add it later.

Thanks, I've never raced him but he ran my friend a a C6 Z06 with 500+ rwhp and walked him so I don't really see the point. Maybe after I get my nitrous I will race him in a 1/4 mile.
