So lower the shift points haha?

You have to set the shift points really early for it to shift on time, the 4r70w basically has to guess when to shift by timing it right.

I will soon. I have an sct chip so I have to mail it back to my tuner to get the shift points changed.

Hmm.. 2.8 kit is $2500 (plus all the stuff he doesn't have..injectors, hard pipe, pump, sensors, CMR tune, etc)

Id rather get a Precision kit from them than that. You can get the 5858 kit for $1900, or get it in ball bearing for $2500.

Though if he has the money to spend..3199.99 also comes with injectors/pump

You got a link to that kit perfect? he's just been doing casual reading up on the car and saw things about the zeta spooling faster and making the same power as a 50 trim, and on modern performance both kits are the same price. he'd be happy with anything in the 350-400whp range on pump gas.

That may or may not work. Dropping the shift points didn't work for mine. I'm planning on ditching the increased pressure and just doing a shift kit.
