I used to own an 08 SI.
well sorry to burst your bubble but i just looked through a dyno thread from 2010 and guys with cat back, race header, intake, and tune are around 210 give or take 10.

Really? Thats what you're going off of? Some dynos you googled?

Give me a break man. I actually owned one and know for a damn fact its hard to squeeze 200 whp out of them with bolt ons. This 220-250 whp with bolt ons is pure nonsense.

"2006 Civic Si with Intake/Exhaust/Raceheader/Hondata Intake Mani Gasket NO HONDATA REFLASH!!!"

That was with DR's. Throw some slicks on and it's lower 13's.

Thats pretty impressive! Wish I had've ran mine just to see for myself where it was. The gearing in those cars is what saves them from being an utter disaster imo.

Weight reduction?

Here's what I found from an article testing each bolt-on in the SI.

Conclusion
Testing to our '08 Civic Si reinforced the inescapable truth that increasing power in newer cars is becoming increasingly more difficult with simple bolt-on parts. The mechanical advantages of all the parts we installed were visually apparent, yet the power gains weren't as large as some we've seen on engines with far less potential than the K20. while every part we added made power, seeing the Ecu adjust to compensate for each change all but proved to us that more power could be made. Does this mean you shouldn't waste time modifying the newer platforms? No, it simply means there's more to be discovered through tuning. Look for a future installment of Power Pages, in which we'll be testing an engine management product that claims to offer as much power in one step as we've made here in three-proving the new Si isn't a platform to be overlooked.

CONCLUSION..12.3 whp gain with full bolt-ons, no tune.

BASELINE...172.1

FINAL ........184.4

Didn't say. Though I'd think he'd tune it before he bothered with that. idk. Looking at the 8th gen draglist fastest 100% stock listed is a 14.49 with a 2.30 60'.

Hard to imaging a full weight Civic running mid 13s with 185WHP.

So at 14.4 being one of the quicker stock ETs, that guy is claiming to knock .9 off with bolt ons, DR, and stock tune. Something is way off there. If it was done on a 1.8 I might buy it, but not on a 2.0. I just don't know about you anymore, Jeff
