i have a pinhole leak from my oil filter adapter on my 2001 cobra, i have been told that this occurs from the seals going bad making the hole leak to make you aware and trying to get some insight from people who know what they're talking about. First off i have heard the pinhole is on every cobra's (oil adapter) and is there to let you know the seals have went bad. What i've hear from my mechanics:

one told me replace gaskets and should fix problem

another told me to replace the complete part which i think makes no sense, would appreciate insight from people to help me out. I work at a ford dealership selling and i think i know more then half the mechanics i have working here lol

Should be just the gaskets. I don't recall there being a weep hole, but it's been a while since I have done the job. Good news is that it's easy on mustang, it's a raging pain on a Mark VIII.

thats what i figured, i also was told that the pinhole is suppose to be there and then others said it shouldn't. I also have a mark viii and do not see a pinhole on the adapter
