2006 GT vs. 1998 WS6

More like near 400 hp. I have a blower fox with crappy (yet ported) E7's and I still made 397 rwhp on 15 psi. 12.6 @ 112 is pathetic for a car with a blower.

Very true, JD. I watched a Fox go 12.0 over and over again one Sunday afternoon with a stock motor, stock suspension, and DRs, using a Procharger, Uknown boost, ran hot every third run or so. No headers, nothing.

This was a complete budget build. And like I said the blower was only 6psi AND a powerdyne.....Don't ask me but dead even!
Like I said 12.6@112 in the 1/4 so obviously it's way faster. Idk what was up with it that night...the friend is close to 300 LOL

there's a BIG differece between 6 and 15psi! He just had the base powerdyne kit-untuned i think. Also like I already said this was a budget package. Could have just been an E cam-nothing special. I'll have to ask him

6800 is fine. The Machs have the RPM limit set at 6800 from the factory. The S197 can hold it. If it didn't make power that high then it would be pointless, but since it does and its safe, its pretty common. Your trap speed will definitely increase if you shift higher. Try it sometime man.
As far as this race goes, I still say take him from a dig. You WILL hook better and leave harder than him, imo. His top end (+70-80 mph) is his advantage.
*EDIT*
Correction, I'm an idiot!! Just looked at my dyno sheet. Its 6500, not 6800. Sorry.

I was going say 400rwhp but I have seen some pretty awful numbers before and didn't want to hear some story about their buddy only making 371rwhp.

C&L CAI, Steeda Strut Tower Brace, UDPs, LCAs, Flowmaster American Thunder
Welded Pypes O/R H, FRPP 4.10s, Hurst Shifter, SCT w/ BRENSPEED Tune
Shorty Ant, Ford Splash Guards, Staggered Black FR500s w/ Nitto 555s

... if you don't win you need driving lessons, if he's stock.

I say go from a dig, you shouldn't have too many problems with him in any of those. But, going from a dig will be the biggest difference because he just got the car and wont know how to launch.

I agree, your best bet is from a dig. You weigh less than him and LS1s pull hard on the top end.
