I think your still missing the point. You guys are argueing two different things. I believe you ran with a pullied cobra. A cobra with a poor driver! I've beat Z06 Corvettes at the track but that doesn't mean my car has the ***** to keep up with one if you put an execellent driver behind the wheel of the Vette. This is the same case here. Your car simply doesn't make the power to run with a car thats making 400+ at the wheels. I seriouslly doubt throwing a couple of cams in a S197 will give you 400HP at the crank. A few of the guys in this section have been racing a long time and know what they are talking about. Trust me, I've been racing since 1985. I know where they are coming from.
Well said BB. Although, a bolt on 3v with cams should be right at 400hp.

i dont believe it. more like 350rwhp at the MOST IMO. I forgot a lot about S197s since i sold mine a long time ago but i know for fact, they dont gain that much power with those kind of mods. we had a guy who had a built motor 3v, he upgraded everything you could think of and put down 370rwhp and 370rwtq with slightly higher compression rate that the factory.

343 sae on the dyno last time maybe 355 sae know its all good its just i got called out he lost yes i know he was pulling back... we will run again with vids and if i lose o well its still fun... don't get so caught up into dyno numbers as i have seen many cars lose to cars that make alot less power....

My Cobra has the suspension completely set-up, the cooling, great power for my mods, and the power-band.
Same with my GT now, suspension, weight, good solid power-band, and soon-to-be gearing, and meth.
That is why both types of cars are tough competitors.
