yeah.. i ran 8.188@87.29mph with drag radials on a 1.9 60'

I don't think he did that on street tires with his mods.

8.1 at 86-87 is what I ran on a 1.89 60' in my Jesus car when it had lid/tune, cat-back. I could see that full bolt-on 2V running and 8.1 a good tire AND 4.10s, but not on a street tire. 2Vs can be decent down low with a gear and tire, but if it doesn't do work from 0-60....yea

Pretty much agree with everyone else... The GT should get the jump off the 3rd honk and after 75 or so the 6er should start reeling him in..

We've been trying to get the boy to run me since I got the car. My brother has been talking cash **** to this kid, and he just won't bite. But after I outran his little brother in his bolton/geared lt1, he got interested. Now the word is he 'has me covered', and is running 8.1's on street tires. L-O-L.

As my bro said, he's the type of kid that if he wins, its by 3, and if he happens to lose, its only by .5. So his claims mean absolutely nothing to me. We're supposed to be going to an event at the local 1/8th mile track on May 12. Guess we'll see what happens then. But if he doesn't show, or doesn't run, Im calling him out, straight up, lol. I try and be the modest guy that doesn't talk **** (as I dont have a reason to, I drive a v6 ) but I'll have to be that guy if he doesn't produce a run.

As for my opinion on the run itself, I think I may have my hands full through the 1/8th. Dunno if I can reel him in in time if he does get a big jump on me. On the skreets, I think I have him covered by 100mph. Either way, I'll be running dr's at the track, so he better be on the tree if hes on street tires!

Unless he can drive, I feel you have him covered the whole way? I know you have a driver mod and we can't trust the 2v guy since his claims are always exaggerated in his favor. I think he's having a case of the 2v blues honestly and not wanting to see a sixxer faster than him.

It appears that the 2V was running on alcohol for that 8.1

At least at the party

If his car is actually what he says it is I dont think his times are far fetched, but not on street tires.

I think it would be a very close race all the way to be honest. Judging by the trap speeds the 6er has a little more top end.
