Pressure washing the engine seems like way overkill to me. I spray mine down with Simple Green then hose it off and it looks good as new. If you want it to be all shiny you can get some engine bright at auto zone or save a few bucks and just wipe the plastic parts with tire shine.

Easy is what im looking for, all you do is spray the entire engine bay with simple green then garden hose it off? And there are tire shines that come in sprays, is that safe to use?

Yeah unless your motor is just ridiculously covered in gunk that should be all you need to do.

Yeah that's the EGR. Just spray it with some high temp paint.

mine has 71k miles of not being cleaned, its just dusty and dirty. so are you sure i can just spray the simple green everywhere then just use the shower mode thing on the garden hose?

yeah that should work fine. remember to at least cover the coil pack...it might take awhile tho. using a pressure washer wont kill you. i used one at a diy car wash my first time cleaning under the hood and its actually your best bet if you havent done it yet

Using one of those wand things should be fine. When you say pressure washer I think of one with like an 11hp motor that will put a hole in concrete.
