Default New gauge cluster/car wont start?????????

I just put in a carbon fiber gauge cluster. I took it out of my buddies car and put it into mine, and now the car just cranks and wont start? The THEFT light keeps blinking? Do I have to reset something????

haha i have no idea but i do know when i was doing my guages (white face) i took the whole cluster out then for fun tried to start the car and it just died right away. so yea something with the guages does affect the engine. try checking all the connections and make sure the guages are compatable

I have not done it., but I have heard there is some kind of module on the back of the cluster you have to change out as it is coded to your car and your keys.

seriously? take the damn GT cluster out and put yours back in. I'm too lazy to even get into why this was a bad idea from the start. When you have both clusters out, put them next to each other and look at the differences.

Your cluster is also what controls your PATS, so unless you want to go to the dealer to get the car reprogrammed, again, just leave it alone.

Ask on here before you mod, or put on your flame suit before you come on asking why something won't work lol
