Default new head unit with old speakers and everything else?

I was going to get this http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...ss+BV9555.html or something like it in about a week once i have the money.

i saw in another thread where a guy changed two speakers, but not the whole system and it didnt work.

if its just the head unit your replacing will it work with the rest of the system?

sorry for this stupid question

If it's a Mach 460 head then I doubt it will work.

****, idk what it is.

it has a CD player, no cassette, and a 6 disk CD changer... will this tell you what it is?

why would it not work?

My 460 is a 6 disc changer. It will say Mach 460 on the door speaker covers and the back speaker covers.

I see people on here and elsewhere always saying that changing just one thing on 460 system won't work. Something about the ohms and other things with the 460 systems.

Myself, I plan to install a full Pioneer system if I replace my 460.

****. i just saw that, but it was a speaker they were removing, not the head unit, so i thought it may be different... this sucks

Here's a thread where they talked a little about just the head unit and the problems they had.

ok, just for the record... I LOOKED ON THE SPEAKER, it DID NOT say 460(or any number), but was of course mach...

does this make any difference.

no...unless you have stock subs you have the 460. look in the trunk for the amp rack.
