Hi. Need help with outside door handle questions
Hi folks. I'm new here and this may be in the wrong spot but here goes:
I have an '02 3.8 Mustang in showroom shape except for the outside door handles which have been ruined by me doing something stupid. I just received replacements and painted them. I have seen the instruction on this forum about how to take off the panels to get at the speaker. But the instructions stop with the white plastic still remaining. I'm concerned about what I'm, likely to find behind that white plastic and would benefit from any knowledge you might have. I have power windows.
Do I have to take all of that white plastic off or can I get at the door handle mechanism just peeling off that corner?
How difficult a job is changing the door handles? Does the white plastic go back on or does it have to be replaced?
I bought new Polk speakers and will be going in there to replace them and would like to kill two birds with one stone.
Thanks.

Welcome to the forums.
Use a hair dryer or heat gun to warm the glue on the plastic.
Pull it back at an angle and let it hang down while you work.
Try not to get it dirty because it wont stick as well and trying not to get stuck to it.
Its easy stuff to work around.

Thanks, NeoT. Is there much to getting at the outside door handle mechanism after the white shielding comes down? perhaps another partition of some kind in the way? or can I theoreticaly do this straight away? Thanks again.
