Default clutch issues

I have a 2000 mustang 3.8L 5 speed. The clutch lets out entirely to high. is there anyway to adjust the clutch so it engages sooner?

What's the mileage On the car? It could be a pretty good indication the clutch is on its way out the door. Other than that, I'm pretty sure American Muscle sells firewall cable adjusters for around 40 dollars. You're going to have to get an aftermarket clutch quadrant too if this is the route you're gonna take, those also run about 40 dollars, Maximum Motorsports also makes one thats available on AM

Thanks for your response. 129,000 currently, the clutch was replaced at approximately 120,000. When the clutch is depressed the brakes seem to hold the car from moving when starting out as well. That is without touching the brake pedal

Could be a stuck caliper piston... Was the clutch installed professionally? If it's new I would definitely spend the money for the adjuster and quadrant if it bothers you that much
