3.8 swap no fire
we swapped out a 3.8 v6 from a 1997 with a v6 from an earlier year, everything went as normal except for having to switch the motor mounts a little and what not. anyway, it doesnt fire. were getting it to crank almost beautifully until the battery runs down. so first things first, the motor we pulled out started up fine, just had a cracked block. so i switched out the coil pack. nothing, then switched the stator wire on the coil, still nothing. its getting gas, just still no spark. so then we switched the crank sensor and still yet nothing. the only thing we havent switched is the cam shaft position sensor and the wiring harness itself. we raised the car back uop and checked all the grounds and plugs and the nuetral safety switch, and everything looks fine. please help!!!!!!!!!!!!

What year Mustang did the 97' motor go into?
Do both cars have the same CPS (2 wire version or 3 wire version)?
Even if the CPS was screwy you would still fire at some point, it just wouldnt stay running or would run very rough.
Do you have no spark what so ever?
Are you still working with an OBD-II system?
What else has been changed between the motors?
