Need New Clutch
I have 120k miles on my stock clutch! I figured i buy a clutch, so i have one ready when my current one goes. Im looking for a clutch that is a little easier to step on, or just as easy as the stock Ford clutch. I want a clutch that has good grip, but i want to be able to pull away smooth and slow sometimes. I dont want a clutch that is meant for the track, ready to bite hard when pulling away slow. Can someone give me any reccomendations on a clutch?? Maybe some good brands?? I dont want a clutch that chatters bad! Thanks

I literally just laughed out loud. As is being implied by babygt it sounds like what you want is a stock ford clutch. Any aftermarket clutch you buy is going to be stiffer than the factory because aftermarket clutches are used for more power and abuse. If your stock clutch has 120k on it I would call it quality. Plus if it isn't slipping don't replace it.
Put the car in third gear at about 25-30 mph and put your foot on the floor. If the car accelerates all the way through the RPM smoothly your clutch is fine and you need not spend money on a new one.

There are a ton of aftermarket clutches, some are good, some not so much. Centerforce is a good name brand clutch that comes with good components but is very expensive. I found an off brand called F1 Racing clutches and they make really good clutches that are really affordable. All you need is a stage 1 factory replacement. It will have similar characteristics but the clutch will be slightly easier to throw out over factory.
As stated though, do the acceleration test first. If it's fine then no need spending $300-500 for the clutch and labor.
