Oops, looks like I forgot to update this thread (at least my part of it). I ended up just dropping the tank and replacing the pump. That was indeed the problem. . .

Please do, because I'm enjoying reading this thread.

Thanks! Before I hijack this thread with my dead ecu story, I want to make sure we get Ryan Bear up and running.

Rather than hijack this thread, I will make a new one about my blown ECU starting next week. 99 V6, though I believe my experience was equally applicable for 99-04 sixers and V8s. I welcome corrections.

@Bryan Bear, how did you get the furl filler pipe disconnected from the tank? Did you pull it off as you were dropping the tank or did you have to dissaseemble the entire fuel filler assembly from the rear quarter panel?

I removed it from the tank. I first disconnected it from the quarter panel but had difficulty getting the filler tube to easily come down with the tank, so I removed it from the tank. . . It may be worth noting that this is the upgraded filler tube (the factory one had rusted out prior).

Default 01 stang Not getting fuel

01 3.8 mustang fuel pressure @ 30 PSI after cycling the Ing. switch 6 or 8 times and listing for the fuel pump and even then it sounded weak and distorted but it did start ??/ Someone said that if I was to pull the vacuum line leading to the fuel regulator ( On the fuel rail ) and found no fuel that the diaphragm was still good ( Still got some doughs as to the printed circuit and or relay on this unit )??/ Also the is what there calling a Fuel Pump Drive Module found in the trunk and it looks like its wired into the inertia switch going to wire loom??/ I'm still not sure this isn't the culprit??/ So I have a Delphi pump on the way ??/ From RockAuto parts catalog ??/ Any body had any encounters with such a problem with these other unit other than the fuel pump ??/ Please advise Steve @ S&J Auto
