1998 v6 blowing fuel pump fuse
My mustang blew the fuel pump fuse a few days ago so I replaced it and drove the car for 4 more days when it blew again. When replaced it continued to blow the same fuse. So after getting it towed home I searched this and other forums along with checking in my Haynes manual, it seemed that my fuel pump had died.. I dropped the tank & carefully removed the old pump & replaced it with a new one but.. it still blows the fuse... so I unhooked the fuel pump connection at the rear of car, tried to start and it blows the fuse... that's a dead short? My neighbor was telling me to change my CCRM and since there isn't any way to test them I went and replaced that also, with the same result. The car has never been wrecked and wiring is still factory wrapped at fuse box thru to fuel pump of car.. Any ideas on where to else to check? A dead fuseable link would cause a dead circuit.. not a short circuit Any Help Please ?

First step is to learn not to guess and throw parts a problem. Diagnose the problem and fix it right the first time. Its a lot cheaper & less expensive that way.
You clearly have a short. They aren’t that hard to find if you have patience, a multi-meter and a circuit diagram. There is no quick-fix or silver bullet for electrical issues. Anyone who says otherwise doesn’t know what they are talking about. Diagnose the problem and fix it right the first time.
Good luck...
